Kauai the Pot of Gold Under the Rainbow

Hawaii IS the Rainbow State. As the rainbow State, then Kauai must be the pot of gold! This is just another lazy summer morning at Hanalei Bay, Kauai. Forget all you thought you knew about rain. Hawaii’s temperature typically stays within a narrow comfortable range, no matter the time of year or day. Take an umbrella or wear a hat, if you must, but don’t let a little rain dampen your fun. Hanalei bay is reef protected. So, it is generally a very good place for any water sport. Or just lie or sit in the sand and soak in the incomparable beauty.

You may not find a pot of gold, but you’ll strike it rich, if there is a rainy day, in Kauai. The Rainbow State has come by its name for good reason. So, why are Kauai’s rainbows so special? The air is clean, the ocean is warm, misting rains dance across the Island throughout the day, as the sun peeks out to display magnificent rainbows. Clearly, Kauai IS the pot of gold, under Hawaii’s rainbows!

Kauai Rainbows Double Your Pleasure and the Pot of Gold

Hanalei Valley Taro Fields

Morning double rainbows as seen at Kauai’s Hanalei Valley lookout. The Hanalei River runs through the valley. The taro fields to the right produce poi, a Hawaiian favorite. Try poi at a Luau, such as Hanalei’s Tahiti Nui. You’ll love the town of Hanalei and Tahiti Nui but as for the poi, possibly not so much. Hanalei is the gateway to Hanalei Bay, with its pier and generous sandy beaches.

HollysKauaiCondo Beneath a Vibrant Rainbow

HollysKauaiCondo is not only in the cat bird’s seat for panoramic ocean views, but also rainbows. This second level condo has easy ground level entry, along with upper-level privacy and ocean views from every room! The better to see the pot of gold that is Kauai. Additionally, view one of the few Kauai Northshore web cameras perched on the lanai with a sweeping 84-degree oceanfront view.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to walk along Kauai’s Hanalei Bay and pick up a pot of gold, at the end of the rainbow!

Mahalo, Kauai, for being everything that I imagined Hawaii to be, including gorgeous rainbows!
